Stress is the body’s response to any disturbance ( mental, emotional or physical) that can have a mental or physical impact.
MY EXPERIENCE
Very few people in this world are a stranger to Stress and I am no different. Being a woman with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and a woman with disabilities, I deal with a lot of Stress.
As a woman with MS, I discovered that inflammation can cause MS relapses, with relapses being the worsening of current or creation of new MS symptoms. I also learned that Stress is an inflammation trigger.
So, I sought to get a handle on my Stress, not only for my own well being, but to help manage my inflammation.
And managing inflammation, helps manage my MS.
MY SOLUTIONS
I’ve gotten the best results managing my Stress by utilizing different forms of Stress Management.
As a High Functioning Autistic, I also experience a lot of Stress when I’m not on time or not preparded. And yes, I have often dreamt about being naked in class. Feel free to laugh. I do. So, being on time and prepared are definitely part of my Stress Management.
HAS MANAGING STRESS HELPED ME?
I like to think that managing Stress is helping manage my inflammation, though it’s hard to prove. I can definitely say that I am happier and feel better when I’m less stressed….and that may have to do for now.
I hope the information I’ve shared here is helpful.
