Collagen is a protein that provides structural support to the body’s connective tissues, such as ligaments, skin, muscle, bone, and cartilage.
HEALTH BENEFITS
I took an interest in Collagen because of its anti-inflammatory properties. These properties come from the bioactive compounds contained in the Collagen, specifically the amino acids, Glycine and Glutamine.
HOW I USE COLLAGEN
As a woman with Multiple Sclerosis (MS),I use Collagen to help manage my MS. When I discovered that inflammation can cause MS relapses, with relapses being the worsening of current or creation of new MS symptoms), I incorporated Collagen into my beneficial diet to to help manage inflammation.
And managing inflammation helps manage my MS.
PREFERENCES
In the beginning, I made collagen-rich bone broths to add Collagen to my diet. Eventually, due to my disabilities, making bone broth became too much work. So, I switched to Hydrolyzed Collagen. It’s doesn’t clump and can be easily add to my coffee. I then discovered that Collagen, when hydrolyzed, gains antioxidant properties. Those antioxidant properties protect the cells of the body from oxidative stress, which is linked to disease, a major source of inflammation.
So the Hydrolyzed Collagen, not only helps manage inflammation, but also sources of inflammation.
I prefer to get my Hydrolyzed Collagen, now called Collagen Peptides, from Great Lakes Wellness. I’ve been using their products for over 20 years and am happy with the quality of their products. Note. I don’t do paid endorsements.
RECIPES
I use Collagen in my ARMOR-PLATED COFFEE.

HAS COLLAGEN HELPED ME?
Yes. I believe Collagen has contributed to the anti-inflammatory nature of my beneficial diet.
As a woman with Paraplegia, which can cause tissue-loss, and inflammation due to that tissue loss, I also discovered that my regular ingestion of Collagen has helped me maintain my collagen-containing tissues, as a extra special food and natural remedy,
CAUTION
Due to the ever possible occurrence of product contamination, I always double check my sources and check ingredient lists before trying a new item.
Allergic reactions can happen to anyone, so I do my research and keep my eyes open to any potentially dangerous reactions, especially drug interactions, when I try anything new.
Ingesting large amounts of anything can be harmful, so I always consume in moderation.
