In 2017 Dr. James R. Zimbelman, a planetary geologist with the Center for Earth and Planetary Studies, asked me for help with his Mars Ripple project. The project was an examination of the orientation of ripples on the surface of the red planet.
Using data, maps, and images collected by his two research assistants, I performed statistical analysis, and created histograms, diagrams, and plots. I also gave the project a cohesive color scheme and styling which not only made the data pop, but also easier to interpret.
The project involved data and images from 40 study sites on Mars. The images below are examples of the materials I created for each site.
